Day 1 – Home to Knoxville TN

Well, you learn a lot about people when you spend twelve hours in a car with them.

Who am I kidding? The drive was exactly as I thought it would be: Outstanding. In fact, we reached a point of major goofiness in West Virginia, the result of which will be revealed to all of you in the days to come. (A hint: An album from an up and coming band will be dropping soon, and you won’t believe the song listing.)

On the road by 5:30 AM. 635 Miles. Five states. Mostly raining, but so what!

No real sites to see today, especially with the rain. Just pushing hard to get to where we want to go.

Song of the day (and another hint): Sly and the Family Stone, Hot Fun in the Summertime.

David, are trips really ever about the destination?

JOHN COSTELLO

Hey, I’d go to Colorado springs. Pike’s peak and the Garden of the Gods is worth it. Also hit the town of Durango if you can. The drive from Colorado to Utah is just breathtaking.
Enjoy

We just looked! It was great. Loved hearing all the scoops. Wow!
