April 9, 2017. If Pittsburgh two weeks ago was our first unofficial stop on our Road Trip, then this would be our second. We took the weekend and went to Lynn and Sandy’s. It’s always so much fun when we go out there. It’s the first time we’ve seen the deck finished, and now that that dopey tree next door is gone, the view of Manhattan across the water is spectacular. (I did a little test with the new camera and did a time-lapse at night that captured the lights of planes taking of and landing over the city. It’s in the photo gallery.)
Jonathan and Karen were there, too, which was great. Liam was the center of attention … it’s impossible for him not to be. Holly and Brendan are out of the country and Lynn and Sandy are watching him while they’re gone. Liam is just about walking … but not there yet. He’s is completely adorable and so happy it’s ridiculous.
We did a quick beer run (and tour) at Carton Brewing, then an outstanding walk down to the beach, a fantastic meal on Saturday night, and the classic lounge-around-drink-coffee-on-the-deck Sunday morning.

Four days to go … can’t believe it.
It is with great anticipation that I look forward (and Sandy as well) to this classic road trip. You’ve got better pictures of my house, dog, family, brothers, sister-in-laws and grandchildren than I could ever take myself! What a great trip you, Laura , and Max will surely have…..and thanks for keeping a blog. this will be fun for everybody
