Graduation!

How quickly did that go by? So much has happened in four years, yet it seems as if it was just the snap-of-the-fingers ago that Laura and I dropped Max of at Forbes Hall in Pittsburgh ready to start his freshman year. Now here it is, four years later, and he’s done.

We were out the door of our house at 4 in the morning on Saturday and made it to Pittsburgh before 10. Rented a behemoth of a truck for Max’s stuff.

Saturday night was the reception at the Cathedral of Learning for the Engineering School. Photos (especially my average ones) don’t do the Cathedral justice. Anyway, it was a pretty special night. We met a lot of Max’s friends … especially his Steel Bridge team. You can tell they’ve spent a lot of time together. (Check out the photos, you’ll know which ones they are.) Also met Max’s favorite professor, Dr. Oyler. He was really wonderful, and was a big Max Beedle fan.

Commencement was Sunday, and it was impressive. Almost 2000 graduates. The place was filled to the rafters. I’m not ashamed to say I teared up more than a few times.

Max, Mom and I can’t find the proper words to tell you how proud we are of you.

And now … less than a week away … Road Trip!

Congratulations Max….well done.

What a wonderful time proud of Max and love all the pics especially the one with girls in ( lol)😘

Ha! Unfortunately, at those early morning hours I’m scheduled to grab a bucket of soapy water and a hard-bristled brush and scrub up the St. Louis Gateway Arch to a high shine …
